Precious,
our little white toy poodle, is just like her name. My sister
and I promised our other sister we would take care of Precious
if she ever needed another home. That sister did leave us
two years later when Precious was six-years-old. She is now
15 ½ and
thanks to Dr. Sage and Horn, is doing well—though she
does have a persistent cough. She walks slower than she used
to but that does not keep her from going on walks every day.
As for Laura,
our coal black Shih Tzu, she is a caution! She is 6 ½ year
old—she was a momma for 5 years and confined to taking
care of puppies. The breeder wanted a good home for her now
that her “puppydom” was over. She had little or
no training before she had 3 litters so she is really shy of
strangers—that did not bother us because we were going
to teach her all kinds of things, like walking straight ahead
instead of circling and tripping us with the leash. Well after
one year of training, she now walks straight, most of the time
(unless a stranger approaches.) However, she does know and
love her owners and treats us really well in her house and
her backyard. Precious occasionally has to endure being pushed
aside as Laura struts past her with gusto.
Thanks to
Dr.’s Sage and Horn, Laura is also in good health and
we love both girls to pieces and we will never give up on Laura!
